Creaset, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Jim Hangley Sr. After working for Cotton Incorporated, Jim Hangley Sr. realized the advantage of this simple garment finish. His vision of easy care garments with a true permanent crease quickly became a reality. Cultivating numerous menswear contacts, Jim traveled to the US Army testing facility and demonstrated the advantage of the Creaset Permanent Crease System.
The United States Military began using the Creaset permanent crease finish in its dress uniforms and, to this day, is still a component of the uniform. Police and civilian uniform manufacturing companies quickly followed the Army’s lead. Shortly after, the private retail section would join along and adopt Creaset Permanent Creasing .
40 almost years later, Creaset is moving forward with industry leading technology and cutting edge equipment.
what is permanent creasing?
Our permanent crease systems apply a fine bead of quick cure, custom blended resin to the inside of a pre-creased garment, making it permanent! It will withstand home laundering or dry cleaning for the life of the garment.
